Year Two were transported back to a Victorian class of 1857 and from the moment the costumed teacher arrived, they and the adults performed their role plays very well. All had to obey the very strict teacher. Hands were inspected before lessons started and everyone practised the 3Rs namely reading, writing and arithmetic. Pretend punishments for incorrect behaviour were administered - and they were convincing even though it was all pretence. A few children liked some aspects of a Victorian classroom, but overall they preferred their 2018 classroom. Also, everyone visited the Headmaster's house and ended the day practising drill or Victorian PE.
