Oak Class had a fantastic trip to the Lincolnsfield Centre last Friday for their World War II day. The children were able to experience a 1940's classroom and house in addition to looking around a Dig for Victory garden, including going in an original Anderson shelter and using a stirrup pump. They also experienced what it was like in London during the blitz and finally, everybody's favourite activity, had a ride in an authentic American WW2 jeep.
Here is just one of hundreds of photos we took on the day. The children were complimented on their outfits, behaviour and knowledge of WW2 history.
