Investigating Invertebrates in Oak Class

Investigating Invertebrates in Oak Class

Oak Class spent the afternoon investigating what the job of a backbone in vertebrates is.

Each group built two animal models out of play dough. In one, pipe cleaners were used to replicate the backbone. We then balanced as many Jenga blocks as we could on top of the models. We discovered that the one with the pipe cleaner (backbone) was stronger than the one without.
